Too wet for lizards

I finally made it along to Flanders Moss last week hoping to show off the local lizards to Alison, Ellen and our kiwi german friends Tanja, Cristoph, Marlo and Maja. We had spent a sunny morning nearby in Doune Castle and I was optimistic about seeing plenty of lizards sunbathing on the boardwalk. Unfortunately, as we approached the reserve from the East the looming black clouds over the Trossachs aproached from the West and decided to empty themselves over Flanders Moss as we arrived. It was still beautiful and when we finally see those elusive lizards their viewing will be all the more enjoyable.
