First harvest of 2015.
Mid April - the 14th to be precise - saw the first harvest of the year: rhubarb (that had been forced) and purple sprouting brocolli. We dined on roast chicken and veg with fresh brocolli followed by rhubarb crumble and custard. Delicious and extra satisfying for having grown some of it. It was also a chance to reflect that its almost exactly a year since I sowed those brocolli seeds. Not just like nipping down to Tesco.
