Heather is in flower and is such a useful plant to help feed those hungry insects. Spawning has begun and healthy amounts of frog spawn can be seen in the swampy pools to the side of the West Highland Way below the iron bridge on Clober Road. Ground elder is emerging also alongside the way. So far I havn't seen any in our garden. Could I have finally won the war! Troublefree, tolerent of our soil and climate, providing needed fresh greens when not much else is ready, is hard or expensive to buy in the supermarket, and enjoyed by all the family make it a must grow plant. Start weeding!
