Summer veg update

The Vegetable garden continues to look good and provides us all our own greens: lettuce, perpetual spinach and Swiss chard have all been great. Broad beans, garlic and onions also were good earlier on. Kale and Purple sprouting broccoli look promising. Carrots and beetroot also look promising and ready to harvest. Runner beans and sweet corn may well come up trumps too, but it’s still a bit early to tell. Tomatoes on the other hand were a complete waste of time. They all withered with some fungal disease, and I am inclined not to bother next year.
